Greater Adjutant Storks - A Conservation Story

Through my conservation photography work focused on the Greater Adjutant stork in Assam, I aimed to document and raise awareness about this remarkable and endangered species living on a Garbage dump of all places. These images showcase the unique beauty of these large, charismatic birds while highlighting the challenges they face due to habitat loss and human-wildlife conflicts. By sharing these photographs, I hope to inspire a deeper connection and appreciation for the Greater Adjutant stork, fostering support for their conservation and the preservation of their critical wetland habitats in Assam. I am also creating a documentary film on the birds and community based conservation initiative led by Dr. Purnima Devi Barman.
